DESCRIPTION

Alexa Devices team in Cambridge is looking for a dedicated assistant to support a software team and its leader.

Candidates should have a history of success delivering high quality administrative support as demonstrated by being given positions and/or responsibilities of increasing importance and scope. A proven track record of taking initiative, working independently, delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations is important. The role requires a strong leader with good judgment, an eye for accuracy, consistent character, and the unique ability to attend to details and get things done.

The most successful candidate will have the ability to react quickly to escalations, schedule conflicts and changes, and prioritize accordingly. Is able to function independently with minimal supervision and direction: have a strong attention to detail; be comfortable handling multiple tasks and produce high quality work under limited time constraints. Be an effective communicator, both verbally and with written correspondence, equally adept with internal and external customers at all levels.

This position will work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the organization and the rest of the company, both domestic and international. Understanding basic company organization, working relationships, and business partner roles and responsibilities is important. Believing in Amazon’s vision while intuitively understanding how to apply these values to enhance working relationships is the key to success in this role.
· Calendar and scheduling management
· Travel coordination, both domestic and international for multiple travelers
· Expense reporting and budgeting
· Keep abreast of business objectives, policies, standards, procedures
· Help with recruitment efforts and assist onboarding new hires
· Coordinate and oversee key team activities (i.e. all hands meetings, brown bags, supply ordering, space planning, performance reviews, etc)
· Professionally handle and track highly confidential materials
· Report and track facilities issues for team
· Drive key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all hands meetings, brown bags, supply ordering, space planning and performance reviews), working with EA'a across the company as needed
· Coordination of team events and social activities
· Have fun at work and help others do the same

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1-3 years’ experience assisting at the leadership level in a fast-paced environment or equivalent
· 1-3 years' experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel
