The Role:

As a Display Mechanical Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be creative, responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. In this role, you will:

· Serve as the technical lead for display hardware and interface components through the entire product life cycle, from concept through design, test, and in to mass-production support
· Manage the technical relationship with internal teams and external vendors to deliver new display components to the required specification and schedule
· Perform hands-on design, drawing, inspecting and troubleshooting of displays, associated components in the display stack, and mechanical interface to the device structure
· Travel to supplier and contract manufacturer sites world-wide to support product development activities (50% - 60% travel)

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science or related field
· 5+ years of experience in the consumer electronics or display industry as a PD engineer or Mechanical engineer
· Experience managing assemblies and creating detailed documentation
· 5+ years of 3D CAD experience with proficiency in Pro-E, Creo, Autocad
· 3+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, BOM and RCO's
· 3+ years of experience in working with international, cross-functional teams, including 3rd party manufacturing teams and reliability team
· Good communication in both English and Mandarin.
