LOCATION: EDINBURGH, UK

About the Role:

You will be highly motivated with proven user experience (UX) and visual design skills, and have created elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet business needs and influence future product direction. You will have strong creative and technical ability, a focus on the customer experience, great teamwork and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

You will work as part of an Agile team at our development centre in Edinburgh, Scotland. Your team will own the business, technology and operations, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success. You will be involved in every aspect of the design process - from idea generation, paper mock-ups, testing and wireframe creation, through to final high-fidelity design and implementation.

The successful applicant will need clear communication skills, a good approach to team working and a motivation to achieve results in our fun, fast-paced environment. Our internships are flexible in length and can be designed to fit into university industry placement schemes.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Working towards a degree qualification in Design (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, user experience and interface/interaction design.
• Proficient in the tools of your trade such as; Sketch, Flinto, Photoshop, Balsamiq.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS and understanding of basic technical considerations.
• The ability to prototype in HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g. conducting usability studies, performing user research)
• Mobile and tablet interaction design, including responsive design and gesture-based UIs
• An understanding of video/motion/animation creation and tools (e.g. After Effects, Final Cut)
