The CAD Designer contributes to design development, as-built and one-line drawings of data center facilities. The designer is also responsible for supporting leadership roles and project management to create new data center facilities design drawings and maintain existing data center facilities drawings as they evolve.

Major Responsibilities:

· Planning and creating design drawings for the data center rack space in a fast-paced environment
· Creating and maintaining data sets from CAD that work with internal databases
· Coordinate efforts between engineers and consultants, internal technical operations teams, and other non-technical teams within the organization to develop specifications, designs, schematics, as-builts and written documentation
· Maintain current information within Operations and Maintenance manuals, online documentation, and other internal websites
· Provide support with new innovations
· Becoming proficient with internal tools for managing projects and maintaining standards/best practices

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 5 years AutoCad experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing deadlines on a daily basis
· Minimum 2 years co-location experience (support, design, and/or construction)
· Minimum 1 year project management experience - managing projects either as contractor or within an organization.
