DESCRIPTION

AWS Data Center Global Services is searching for an experienced BIM & CAD Designer to join our team. This position will provide support to the Controls Design Engineering Team and Controls construction team through preparation of computer generated design drawings from blueprints, hand drawings and other archive types. The Controls Design Engineering BIM Designer's primary responsibility is to track, document, communicate and enhance global data center designs and standards with a focus on controls, automation and electrical power monitoring systems. Candidates should be well versed in graphical communication for data center Controls Systems & Mechanical engineering and construction drawings. The design documents will incorporate riser diagrams, point termination naming, equipment specifications, sensor locations, enclosure diagrams, cut sheets, plans, details, elevations, & schedules. Candidates should have experience producing and maintaining permit and construction BMS & EPMS Engineering drawing sets for large facilities (Data Centers, Factories, Hospitals, etc.).

Major Responsibilities

· Establish and update Controls Engineering drawings, standard blocks, symbols, Revit & Autocad templates
· Assist the controls datacenter engineering team and Controls construction team with datacenter as-built documentation
· Ensure that all drawings are accurate and kept up to date

Required Skills and Experience
· Strong AutoCad skills
· Working knowledge of building engineering and construction technology
· Experience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documents
· Demonstrated ability to produce accurate documents consistently and meet schedules
· Excellent organization skills in archival & maintenance operations of project documents

· Must meet at least one of the following pre-requisites:
o Previous data center experience
o Large Project Revit (BIM) design experience
o ME degree

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 8 years of experience within Controls and/or BIM/CAD discipline
· Excellent team composure and ability to take direction from various teams and stakeholder
· Able to prioritize work demands to meet project schedules / deadlines in a busy working environment
