DESCRIPTION

World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) Training is looking for an experienced continuing education trainer who is great fun to work with, because at Amazon Web Services, our motto is, “Work hard. Have fun. Make history.” We are looking for an energetic and dynamic individual to collaborate with the global training team and own execution in a global role.

In this role, you will develop a role-based continuing education program for World Wide Public Sector Sales and Program Managers. The successful candidate will have significant experience leading enterprise sales teams and training/enablement programs with the ability to synthesize field requirements and corporate resources into a strategy as it relates to the continuing education needs of the organization.

Collaborating with leaders, sellers, technical teams, subject matter experts and other trainers in AWS, this individual must own the lifecycle of the role based training programs they design. This entails strategy/planning, development, communication and awareness, facilitation, and ongoing maintenance. To ensure the programs are aligned to WWPS business priorities and needs, relationship management with the content contributors/subject matter experts (as well as the target audience) will be critical for the success of this role.

You will:
· Create, execute, and manage the global Everboarding training program, add content to existing programs, develop, and deliver new content.
· Conduct employee training using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, including classroom-based and virtual learning to create an engaging learner experience
· Continuously conduct needs assessments (in close coordination with stakeholders from leadership, marketing, product teams, etc.) to ensure accurate, effective training content
· Provide guidance within the sales organization and share best practices
· Keep informed of new training methods and techniques
· Support ad hoc sales training/enablement special projects as needed

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
·
· 10+ years of proven sales training/facilitation, experience coaching/developing new and tenured Sales Professionals, with an emphasis on adult learning principles. Training event management experience with varying degrees of complexity (planning, coordinating, and conducting classroom training)
· 10+ years of proven content development skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
· 5+ years of demonstrated implementation of multiple sales methodologies
· 5+ years of working in or with the Public Sector
· 5+ years of sales or business development experience with a history of success and overachieving quota
· 5+ years using the Microsoft Office suite (SharePoint, Outlook, Word & Excel)
· 5+ years of experience using an LMS (Cornerstone preferred), and virtual conferencing platform (WebEx, Adobe Connect, GoToWebinar, etc.)
· 3+ years creating, managing, and reporting on training program metrics
· 3+ of project management experience with varying degrees of complexity (task related to Sales Training)
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20-30% of the time.
