The Role

Our software product portfolio needs people with a passion for technology and communication: people who can create great technical content that enables clients and inspires them to do even more with our software.
We're looking for an experienced technical content developer - someone who knows how to make technical content clear, concise, and relevant and to deliver it in whatever format best suits the client need. You'll hit the right spot for the user, while working to IBM guidelines and considering scale. You'll work on far more than documentation: our technical content encompasses education materials, magazine-style articles, tutorials, and many more. You will be part of a diverse, agile and design-led development community, working with developers, testers, designers, Marketing, Sales, offering managers, and more.
You'll respect our history and stay on brand, but you'll have the creativity, expertise, and enthusiasm to help take our technical content to the next level. You won't be daunted by scale. We work with over 250 000 active URLs, with millions of views a month from users all around the world, and our user base ranges from new hires with no experience through to the deepest of specialists. You'll have the support of our existing team of content developers, a large network of subject matter experts, and access to users in our clients.

The Location

IBM Hursley Park is one of IBM's longest standing (recently celebrating 60 years as an IBM site) and largest software development labs in Europe. Located in the Hampshire Countryside and only 10 minutes from historic and bustling Winchester, Hursley boasts a 3000 person strong team of technologists working on a vast range of products and projects from across the IBM portfolio. The offices, nestled into private parkland and included amongst them the original grand Queen Anne style country house, form an incredible backdrop for this established and respected community of technology experts. Hursley receives continuous investment from IBM and the facilities on site include: a new gym, social areas, restaurant, games room, cafes, club house and bar, sports fields, sports hall, tennis courts and the beautiful grounds ideal for a stroll at lunch or enjoying a picnic in the summer.
