Amazon Studios is disrupting the entertainment industry with data science and advanced analytics. We are looking for a technically skilled Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our team.

The BIE will be responsible for developing and operating analytical pipelines – for reporting, predictive modelling and causal inference purposes – in order to drive development, programming, marketing and business decisions at Amazon Studios.

This person must love telling the story of business performance through detailed and accurate data, and providing data-driven answers to artistic challenges. Typical tasks include:
1. Extract data from large-scale databases, and transform it into actionable business information serving worldwide stakeholders
2. Design, validate, propose, implement and operate new metrics that feed business reporting and decision cycles
3. Collaborate with data scientists and economists on data pipeline design for prediction and inference purposes
4. Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers and security engineers to develop and operate our data processing toolset
A successful candidate will be able to speak the language of artistic, business and technical teams, taking business requirements, and developing solutions to deliver and measure business impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
· 2+ years of relevant employment experience
· 2+ years intensive SQL experience
· Experience building data products for reporting or modeling purpose
· Elementary practice of python (for and while loops, functions, numpy, pandas, seaborn)
· Linux command line
· Excellent written and verbal communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
· Understanding of the main machine learning concepts (classification, regression, clustering, cross validation, model evaluation)
· Understanding of the main causal inference concepts (A/B testing, treatment and control groups, inference on observational data)
· Experience with AWS S3, EC2, Redshift
· Ability and motivation to learn and teach, a lot
