DESCRIPTION

The Marketplace New Business team at Amazon are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Engineer. This person will specifically work with the Certified Refurbished and Handmade business teams to build and enhance the analytical platform, foundations and capabilities across the team. Our businesses are growing fast, and you will be a key player helping drive that growth in a data driven manner. As a BI engineer on the team, you will have the opportunity to work in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. Amazon systems record daily m illions of data points measuring a rich array of metrics for every business. You will work very closely with business teams in driving analytics & deep dive efforts that help understand our customers and businesses better. A successfully candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment across several functional teams. Ability to interpret data and present it in a simple manner to derive business decisions will be a key skill for the role.
Your responsibilities include:
· Own the design, implementation and maintenance of the data pipeline, which includes data warehouse tables, scheduled extract jobs, automated reports, etc. to drive key business decisions
· Engage closely with Business Analyst and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and to build scalable process and metrics
· Implement solutions that enable the functional business leaders to efficiently drive actionable insights and make effective decisions
· Manage expectations and priorities concurrently and strategically in a fast-paced environment
· Leverage internal tools (e.g. AWS Redshift, Tableau) to help deliver data-driven findings and recommendations

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related discipline
· 3+ years of work experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering field, including data warehousing tools and technology
· Advanced knowledge and experience with SQL, database design, and query optimization
· Experience with analyzing and mining databases in a business environment with large-scale and complex data sets
