Be at the center of Amazon innovation with Alexa Voice Services (AVS)! This rapidly-growing business within Amazon offers a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment. The Amazon Alexa team is looking for a database professional to setup, manage and scale AVS BI-specific infrastructure. Further, this role will work with Business Analyst and other stakeholders to scope, deliver, and maintain business and operational metrics used by the business teams.

The successful candidate will be proficient in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and specifically Redshift Data warehousing solutions. She/ he will possess a strong passion for analytics, setting high standards, and sweating details to ensure timely and accurate data.

Responsibilities
· Database development and maintenance (specifically Redshift, DynamoDB, OracleDB)
· Developing, implementing and automating Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes
· Advanced SQL query writing (PostgreSQL, PL/ SQL)
· Improving the data flow between multiple systems and user interfaces
· Providing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) deep dive analysis to guide business decision making
· Designing and maintaining metrics models and reports based on collected data
· Building and managing sales performance tracking and audit
· Providing data points for the preparation of business reviews and planning reports

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience developing ETL/ELT solutions within a Data Warehouse environment (Redshift, DyanmoDB, Oracle DB)
· Advanced SQL skills, with experience querying extremely large datasets from multiple sources and developing automated reporting
· 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working experience as a business intelligence engineer, or equivalent
· Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sets quickly
· Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields
