We're looking for a customer-obsessed and product-minded Business Intelligence Engineer to build and create the data and metrics framework that will power our new shopping experiences.

In this role, you will:
· Design and develop metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business and product decisions.
· Develop models to measure the downstream impact (DSI) of our programs.
· Collaborate with applied scientists to build prediction and machine learning models to help customers find items they will love.
· Work closely with product managers and UX designers to define the product strategy.
· Collaborate with software engineers to implement the data architecture and design.
· Effectively balance scalability, performance, accuracy, and business needs in design decisions
· Combine expert knowledge of statistical methodology and analysis with advanced programming skills to support complex analyses
· Uphold the highest standards of data collection, reporting, and analysis across our team through all phases of software development

The right candidate:
· Has a strong track record of working with large and complex data sets, and translating data into insights to drive key business and product decisions
· Has excellent business and communication skills, and the ability to influence partner teams and leadership
· Enjoys partnering with business owners to define key business and product questions, and be able to analyze data to answer those questions
· Has a solid understanding of efficient and scalable data mining and an ability to use the data in financial and statistical modeling
· Has strong customer and business judgement and is able to propose options that effectively

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS degree in analytical area such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related discipline
· 3+ years of relevant experience with data mining, SQL, building reporting, and statistical modeling
· Experience working with disparate data sources and turning them into a unified solution
· Ability to understand business strategy, provide consultative business analysis, and leverage technical skills to create insightful, effective BI solutions
· Strong problem solving skills, and an ability to apply them in a fast-paced business environment
· Experience working in cross-functional teams and communicating with business and technical customers to drive requirements analysis
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
