DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a technically skilled Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our team.

The BIE will be responsible for developing and operating analytical pipelines – for reporting, predictive modelling and causal inference purposes – in order to drive development, programming, marketing and business decisions at Amazon RO&I.

The role will require an end-to-end understanding of data and reporting; working with business owners to understand and define their data and analytics needs; working with engineering and possibly external partners to generate, capture, and ingest source data (where necessary), working with data engineering to build ETLs that transform the data into manageable nuggets; building reports and performing analyses to draw insights; and finally working with the appropriate parts of the organization to implement changes based on those insights.

This person must love telling the story of business performance through detailed and accurate data, and providing data-driven answers to artistic challenges. Typical tasks include:
1. Extract data from large-scale databases, and transform it into actionable business information serving worldwide stakeholders
2. Design, validate, propose, implement and operate new metrics that feed business reporting and decision cycles
3. Collaborate with product managers, data engineers and software engineers to develop and operate our data processing toolset
A successful candidate will be able to speak the language of artistic, business and technical teams, taking business requirements, and developing solutions to deliver and measure business impact.

· Demonstrated intellectual curiosity

Make every future a success.
