DESCRIPTION

The North American OB Transportation team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive software engineer to build planning, optimization, and visualization systems. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the fulfillment space, and will help us build a world class prototyping, experimentation, and production software.

You'll be part of a talented and nimble team of engineers to create innovative ways to solve problems related to fulfillment at Amazon scale, including supply chain, transportation, and inventory placement. Responsibilities include the creation of high-quality, well-tested software within the Amazon infrastructure as well as process and quality of service improvements. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. NA Supply Chain and Transportation requires creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
• 2+ years professional experience in software development
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
