Do you want to be a key part of a team focused on helping startups launch their new, innovative products on Amazon? Amazon Launchpad is looking for a Business Development Manager to help innovate, develop, and execute on new business initiatives that strengthen the Amazon Launchpad brand and drive new sources of top-line growth. We currently work with crowdfunding sites, incubators, and venture capitalists to identify exciting startups, and help those startups take advantage of our world-class retail expertise and global infrastructure to market, sell, and deliver their products.

This is a challenging role that balances execution, process, and attention to detail with big thoughts and the ability to create and drive new ideas. We're working to make Amazon Launchpad the first destination for startups to be discovered when they are ready, and need a motivated, self-starter to join the team. You will help with conceiving and executing new business models – this role is the ideal combination for anyone who loves not only creating a strategy, but implementing it.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering results, complete ownership of work and outputs, finding a way to work through barriers, finding ways to work efficiently, and excellent business judgment. S/he should have a demonstrated ability to think analytically about the business, have a critical eye for detail, and have high expectation and standards. At the same time, Amazon Launchpad is a startup program, so the right candidate won't be frustrated by ambiguity or slowed by a lack of definition. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must. Wearing multiple hats, influencing others to help you succeed in meeting your goals and “doing the work” is a huge part of our team ethos.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree
· 3-5 years of relevant experience in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven history of delivering results
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Analytical and quantitative skills; experience using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
· Entrepreneurial spirit with track record for successfully delivering measurable results in fast-moving environments
· Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
· Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
· Excellent business judgment
