Public sector customers are transforming the way citizen services are developed and delivered via the AWS Cloud. The AWS Worldwide Public Sector Customer Innovation Programs team is looking for a Global Communications Leader for the Cloud Innovation Center program.

The Cloud Innovation Center, Global Communications Lead is responsible for the Cloud Innovation Center’s programmatic communications for the program globally. The Communications Lead is responsible for the program’s internal and external communication strategy for content development, challenge evangelism, and messaging alignment. Working with Marketing, the Communications Lead leverages digital, social, live, and virtual mediums to drive brand awareness for the CICs, the Sponsors, the challenges, and the challenge solutions. The Communications Lead is vital to business development, effective change management communications, and providing editorial and writing support for significant program initiatives.

The Global Communications Lead ensures consistent business development branding and messaging that unifies all CICs and adheres to AWS requirements. The Global Communications Lead creates, executes, and scales new ways of creating and distributing internal and external communications that expands program awareness and adoption globally. The Global Communications Lead works with regional leadership and program teams to develop templatized business development strategies and executive communications that can be localized to meet local business objectives and effectively drive their overall business goals. The Global Communications Lead is a centralized resource who works with regional teams to distill technical challenge information, into crisp, user-friendly, and easily replicable communications that drive awareness and adoption of solutions within nonprofits, education, or government organizations. The Global Communication Lead tracks and reports on content deployment and effectiveness metrics to internal/external stakeholders, as well as continually monitor, analyze, and iterate messaging to maximize impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience leading/managing a team
· Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate actionable messaging on complicated issues through clear and concise communications
· Demonstrated experience building programmatic and business development capabilities in/with large system integrators
· Have a technical background and a high-degree of knowledge of AWS services
· Broad based technology experience including cloud computing, big data and analytics, networking, security, storage and ongoing infrastructure management
· Proven experience supporting cross functional audiences and implementing change management strategies.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years of business development, strategic communications and/or strategy management experience
· Demonstrated experience leading global innovation programs communication strategies
· Proven history of developing and implementing global communication plans
· Demonstrated experience of CxO advisory and influencing transformation in complex customer environments – ideally in cloud context
· Demonstrated ability to present and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
