Your responsibilities will include business development and sales for new educational solutions in education and scenarios to target, establishing customer & partner business and relationships, integrating appropriate internal teams, and managing the initiatives to build long-term business and marketing opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have experience launching new educational technology products and/or concepts including oversight of creating a message, delivering a pitch, facilitating discussions with customers, and closing deal with university CIOs, educators, superintendents, and CEOs. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions while maintaining a broad network of educational technology relationships with ed-tech companies, post-secondary institutions, and K12 districts. While this is not a technical role, the ideal candidate will have enough technical background to help translate technical concepts into simplified and relevant messages for broad audiences

Roles and responsibilities include:
· Serve as a key member of the Global Education team driving overall AWS' education market and strategy for solutions.
· Define and execute on a strategic market development plan and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, service teams, legal, support, etc.).
· Define and size segments, identify and engage key customers, and identify and engage key partners including ISVs and system integrators.
· Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners.
· Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings for developers.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution. Master's degree is preferred.
· Minimum 5-7 years of partner/business development and/or program/product management and solutions development experience
· Minimum 3-4 years of business development experience in the education sector
· Experience launching a new product or service
