Job summary
Amazon Kids and Family is looking for a talented, passionate and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to manage key partnerships with content publishers and 3rd party platforms.
In this exciting role you will manage our UK (and some EU) partners, working with the very best content owners across games, books, videos, music and more, to bring quality content to Amazon Kids+. You will also drive opportunities to accelerate our subscription business beyond Amazon devices, through the distribution of our iOS, Android and Chrome OS mobile apps, developing partnerships with major brands aligned to proposition.
Our ideal candidate will be opportunistic in their approach, with a result driven mindset and passionate about delivering best in class partnerships. They will need to think strategically, but be comfortable in a fast paced and fluid environment and have an eye for detail, as quality is paramount. This is a multi-faceted job in a fun, start-up like environment that requires flexibility, agility, creativity and a willingness to wear many hats. Key job responsibilities
· Manage a core set of partners across all Amazon Kids+ content types.
· Measure content performance, negotiate and close agreements with current content partners.
· Identify new content opportunities to increase engagement and drive growth across Amazon Kids+
· Create strong partnerships with mobile operators and device manufacturers to pre-load and/or bundle the subscription on 3P devices.
· Identify co-marketing/promotional opportunities with content partners, working closely with the marketing team to execute them.
· Support new product launches.
· Develop and own internal partnerships with content teams (e.g. Kindle, Prime Video, Audible etc).

Amazon Kids+ is our award-winning content subscription service, offering unlimited access to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games. It also includes best-in-class parental controls, allowing parents to set daily time limits and educational goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong familiarity with mobile and digital content
· Experience working on Android, iOS or other mobile applications is a plus
· Knowledge of children’s content and popular characters
· Global business experience
· Advanced Excel proficiency
· Bachelor’s degree.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years experience in a business development, sales or account management role.
· An entrepreneurial mindset with tenacity and the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environment
· A demonstrable bias for action and an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Experience in negotiating deals with a strong focus on long term value.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to dive deep, utilising hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
· Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to think clearly, problem-solve and influence others.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
