To that end, Amazon is seeking a disruptive and groundbreaking thinker to provide data analysis for Amazon's current and future transportation initiatives.

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical, communication and project management skills to join our team. Working closely with business stakeholders and forecasting colleagues, you will help identify and solve complex forecasting problems, improve forecasting and planning systems and business processes, and develop metrics and reports to measure our impact on Amazon's business.

· Analyze forecasting metrics to uncover trends and find root causes of forecast inaccuracy
· Retrieve and analyze data using Oracle SQL, Excel and other data management systems
· Build metrics, reports and dashboard to analyze key inputs to the forecasting system and key outputs including forecast accuracy and variance, and impact on key business measures
· Develop and deliver user training on forecasting concepts and systems
· Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
· Develop and propose new metrics, recommend strategies to stakeholders for improved business results, and work across the organization to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders
· Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline
· Strong proficiency in advanced excel, SQL, and Tableau
· Proficiency at querying and creating simple relational databases
· Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment
· Familiarity with R/Python programming for data analytics
· The ideal candidate actively seeks to understand Amazons core business values and initiatives, and translates those into everyday practices
