To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services around the globe, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. AWS Training and Certification (T&C) is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced leader who is passionate about stimulating positive social change.
In this role you will be responsible for launching, scaling, and running a global program to develop technical and AWS skills in traditionally under-represented populations and facilitate job placement across a mix of cloud computing roles. You will work globally across AWS functions and with our customers, partners and government and social impact organizations. The successful candidate will be able to step back and think creatively to launch a high impact, scalable program, build a high performing global team, and successfully execute against stretch targets while continuously innovating.
Responsibilities
· Set program strategy, defining all aspects, and own implementation and expansion
· Build and develop a global team to launch and run the program
· Understand existing and planned initiatives with similar objectives and drive alignment across leaders and initiatives
· Define program success criteria, monitor, report and course correct
· Work across T&C, other AWS functions, and external partners to build skill development and assessment capabilities
· Engage directly with Amazon internal teams, customers, and partners to establish job placement opportunities
· Work with marketing and public relations teams to promote and brand your program
· Regularly communicate across T&C functions and business stakeholders

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years management experience in Education or Skills Development programs
· 5+ years of experience in technology industry with recent (past 2+ years) Cloud Computing experience
· Experience managing a high performing, rapidly growing global team
· Proven leader with excellent problem solving skills
· Superior oral and written communication skills
· Must be comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
· BA/BS Required.
