Area Manager
Central Operations refers to a new approach in Global Specialty Fulfillment to define a scaleable solution to run the increasingly complex and growing delivery network. Central Operations is a key strategic initiative with a vision to transform the way Global Specialty Fulfillment executes last mile delivery. We're looking for creative leaders with a passion for innovation, knack for problem solving, and ability to thrive in ambiguity to create world class customer experiences.

As an Area Manager at Central Operations you will lead a team of Dispatch Leaders and associates to drive performance in your shift. You will be responsible for building processes, systems and mechanisms as well as driving execution and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. Additional responsibilities include coaching and mentoring the team, nurturing positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the organization.

Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the overall delivery quality, cost, and customer experience for the specialized area of ownership in Global Specialty Fulfillment
· Lead and supervise a team of dispatch supervisors and 20-50 dispatchers
· Develop performance goals and objectives for his shift to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
· Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives though quantitative analysis and data driven decision making
· Review the daily/weekly order volume forecasts and staffing needs to execute efficient last mile delivery operation for Global Specialty Fulfillment. Monitor and report on intra-day and daily performance to plan
· Develops intra-day and intra-week action plans to address operational issues in last mile delivery
· Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs for dispatchers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
· A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience
· 2+ years direct management experience, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
· Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
· Experience with performance management
