Application Engineer, Alexa

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric Application Engineer to help launch new features on Alexa. This is an opportunity make history by contributing to solutions for unique and technically complex problems for our end customers and developer partners.

Customers love what Alexa can already do. They are even more excited about Alexa's future potential. As an Application Engineer, you will work on the technical design, implementation, and validation of new features that add great value to Alexa's customers. A successful candidate will be a self-starter that is able to collaborate effectively across functional roles, has an interest in technical components that enable financial transactions, quickly understands new technical systems, and loves to solve the most challenging problems.

Day to day responsibilities include:
* Working with development teams to design, develop, and investigate new financial transaction use cases
* Working with product management and business partners to understand new product requests and features
* Building accounting and financial configurations to launch new business initiatives
* Building documentation to aid developers in their on-boarding

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
* 1-4 years overall development or technical support experience
* Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system
* Experience with object oriented programming languages such as Java, C++ or C#
