Job description


Amazon Business Account Managers are responsible for initiating and developing strong relationships with Public Sector organisations (Education and Local Government e.g. Universities, K-12, Councils, etc.). They balance their time between acquiring new business and growing accounts, by assisting customers in enabling solutions sets to best suit their procurement and digital transformation needs. Account Managers work closely with customers to understand their procurement requirements (typically across procurement, finance and IT functions –or- vertical equivalents) and then work with internal Amazon teams (e.g. retail, 3P, integrations teams, PMs, lending team, integration and vertical specialists) to determine the best solution to address the organisations needs. Account Managers have strong sales and communication skills that help to deliver quantitative and qualitative results. This individual needs to be able to roll-up their sleeves and balance their time between bottom-up and Top-Down selling whilst showing strong sales process skills and a willingness to learn, improve and be humble.

The responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Initiate prospecting and lead generation activities (ability to build, manage and execute 3x Pipeline)
· Assisting customers with account setup and present customers with Amazon Business solutions (eProcurement, invoicing, tail-spend consolidation, category spend, Business Prime, etc.)
· Meet and exceed input and output targets for feature/spend adoption, user expansion and revenue goals
· Identify, educate and implement relevant AB solutions with customers
· Track and relay customer needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical and Category Management teams, Leadership and other support functions
· Master internal tools (i.e. SFDC, Verification/Business console, excel, etc.)
· Independently work on projects and present meaningful results to the leadership team
· Responding to and supporting customers’ requests (wide-range of requests) in a timely and customer obsessed fashion.

· Public Sector background (not required)

Desired profile


BA/BS required
· 2+ years sales experience (Public Sector experience not required)
· Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
· Strong quantitative skills

· Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
· Working knowledge of B2B sales, procurement processes, and experience working with senior management in large organizations
