DESCRIPTION

Marketplace Tech will be offering a unique opportunity for college freshman to work on a project at Amazon as a member of the Future Engineer program. In 2017, we will have limited slots available for students willing to work in Seattle from mid-June to mid-August. This is a great opportunity for students who are making an early commitment to CS to gain work experience over the summer. Our interns will partner with a select group of experienced software development engineers, who both help and challenge them as they work on projects that matter to our Marketplace customers.

The Amazon Marketplace is globally focused and is growing fast. Our most important goal is to safeguard Amazon's catalog so that we can deliver on our mission. To do this we work closely with teams across the company including Engineering, Sales, Legal, Operations, Risk Management and others.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Completed freshman year at an accredited university or college
· Entering Sophomore year in college or university Fall 2017
· Completed at least one CS (or related) course in college
· Intention to declare major in CS by end of Sophomore year
· Basic experience in front end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
