Title: Hardware Development Engineer III

Location: Seattle, WA

Position Responsibilities:

Work with design team to ensure final product meets regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Legal to ensure confidential submission processes are followed for proper agency approvals. Determine and interpret the relevant compliance standards to test our hardware against based on specific use case. Provide design input to mitigate compliance issues early in design phase. Participate, provide input, and approve mechanical and electrical design reviews to ensure mitigations are properly implemented in the design. Perform hands-on testing of product EMC/EMI and radio performance during development (pre-compliance testing). Determine root cause and recommend design changes for any test failures. File official paperwork and final approval from the proper government or regulatory bodies. Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or in operations engineering, manufacturing, or related occupation. Employer will accept a
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or related field and five years of experience in job offered, or in operations engineering, manufacturing, or related occupation as equivalent to the Master degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): experience with PCB design and debugging; experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools; Signal Integrity knowledge.
