Amadeus e-Retail is the world's most widely used Internet Booking Engine (IBE) in the airline industry.

Its award-winning user interface offers the best-in-class customer experience and helps airlines deliver all types of travel search and booking services including domestic and international flights, car rental, hotels and insurance. Amadeus e-Retail powers more than 260 airline.com websites for over 100 airlines in more than 110 countries around the world.

Part of the Digital & Merchandising division, we work on the full technical and functional stack of the digital products for airlines. This includes a Booking Engine J2EE layer in charge of booking orchestration and business logic, and the web layer forming the user interface (e-retail DX).

Working entirely in Agile with the Scrum methodology and in close collaboration with other R&D teams in Nice, Bangalore and Boston, the London e-commerce teams participate in a wide range of new features for our digital products. The teams also play an active role in spurring innovation ideas and prototypes.

Depending on skills and aspirations as well as project demands, the e-commerce developer will have the opportunity to contribute to the full stack: Java (Booking Engine) or Web (User Interface development in HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript) while having the freedom to choose to develop a deep expertise in one of the two skillsets.

Key accountabilities

· Define user requirements for development of new or improvement of existing software solutions.
· Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
· Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
· Develop software according to Amadeus Standards.
· Conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
· Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product.
· Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
· Support the end user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management

Education

· Degree educated or equivalent work experience

Functional Skills / Technical Skills

· Java knowledge
· J2EE knowledge (Weblogic server, Spring or Struts frameworks)
· Web technologies (Advanced JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
· User Interface development, MVC knowledge, Experience in Responsive Design is a plus
