Purpose of the role

Amadeus has a long history of innovation in the travel sector. Amadeus has expanded into the Airport domain and has consequently established a new division - Amadeus Airport IT.

Airports' IT portfolio consists of a full range of airport specific applications. These include flight management, fixed & mobile resources management, public/private/mobile flight information displays, and many other software solutions to help optimize an airport’s critical activities.

She/he will fully understands the complexity of tender documents, will learn how to formulate a bid strategy, plans for the required resources and contributions and performs the subsequent bidding program. Moreover she/he has experience in designing implementation and services for real time IT solutions in Airports under frequently changing conditions and business needs. In doing so she/he will be help to set up the entire supply chain, to managing and following up on progress for RFP and direct proposal reply work, at all stages (pre-RFP, RFP, post-RFP stages). She/he has to be capable to deliver all aspects for a customer solution in response to an RFP in time and/or direct proposals

Main Responsibilities

Provide high quality response & format to the RFP (Request for Proposal) reply process and to provide tailored solution designs according to customer needs. We need to deliver high quality responses to RFP’s, linking customer requirements to our capabilities, at the same time identify gaps in our portfolio and constantly feed back to our Product management entities on further evolution needs.

· Verify format, communicate and deliver on bid (bid timeline)
· Gather, evaluate client business requirements, identify gaps in the RFP documentation and formulate questions to SDBM/Sales Team
· Actively participate in SDBM activities
· Gather business requirements and create a final version of the Bid
· Add, complete and assemble content delivered by the bid team or external parties
· Perform post-bid follow up activities and lessons learned
· Manage and maintain bid collateral database
· Schedule and host progress meetings for the bid team
· Follow-up on action items for bid contributors
· Understand customer's business, commercial and technology drivers, and translate them into the most appropriate solution
· Initiate, perform and evaluate downstream RFPs or direct proposals for partner solutions to be integrated into the Amadeus offering
· Trigger improvements to the bid process and to the product evolution upon feedback received from customers
· Propose processes changes and working methods to improve processes as required
· Perform, trigger, control progress of work on compliance matrices content, advice on non-conformance
· Formulate the requirements and follow up with the related support organizations to obtain a structured content for services solutions descriptions
· Formulate the requirements and follow up with external solution providers on content delivery towards the RFP Reply
· Verify completeness and accuracy of submittals
· Initiate bid reviews to drive stakeholders’ approval process
· Involve in contract preparation and negotiation
· Perform Post RFP follow up on lessons learned and continuous program for improvement of RFP reply
· Propose processes changes and working methods to improve processes as required
· Evaluate needs for Partners, downstream vendors and cooperation with local entities and trigger relevant activities

Education

· University degree or equivilant in ITor BA
· Minimum 3 years of experience in working on RFP, RFI, RFQ replies and preparing unsolicited proposals

Relevant Work Experience

Must have:

· Experience with legal content in RFI, RFP replies. Experience in handling public tenders
· Commercial background required, Sales and / or IT Technical background a plus
· Solution design background, knowledge of integration methods, implementation and service strategies and methods
· Travel Industry, Airline Industry, Hotel Industry, Airport operation experience
· Airport IT process and solutions knowledge
· Good to have
· Experience with complex software systems a plus
· Experience with IT Systems integration
· Experience with printed documentation
· Experience to work in a multicultural International dynamicenvironment

Skills

Computing - Advanced PC skills (Word, PowerPoint & Excel + ideally MS Visio, Adobe Standard / Professional)

Languages - Excellent command of spoken and written English, other languages an advantage

Specific Knowledge - Airport IT

Other - Ability to devise and implement effective communication processes

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Ability to manage upwards (sales team, sector management) to ensure timely delivery also under disruptive conditions

Ability to manipulate and visualize data to produce appropriate management information
