Business environment

As part of the Technology, Platforms & Engineering (TPE) entity, Infrastructure Cloud Services (ICS) division is the infrastructure provider for the whole Amadeus community.

IaaS Services (IPS) department focuses on private cloud solutions, so called Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), hosting both development activities and production workloads.

The IaaS SRE Development (ICD) team is responsible for providing reliable and scalable IaaS environment to developers all over the world while ensuring the flexibility and agility required by the development activities.

Key accountabilities

The OpenStack administrator’s main responsibilities are:

· Design, deploy and support private cloud infrastructure
· Provide technological knowledge and participate in decision on technology related topics
· Define and evangelize cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability and performance
· Automate solutions for complex & repetitive problems in a cloud infrastructure
· Evaluate & deploy new features to the platform, as per the needs of the customers
· Manage transition from Pilot to Production environments
· Write and maintain technical documentation, for internal use and for clients.
· Provide visibility, traceability, accountability & metrics

Technical context

· The Amadeus infrastructure is spread over several data centres all over the world and composed of thousands of servers and virtual machines (Linux/Windows) running on VMWare and using peta-bytes of storage.
· In addition to the standard virtual infrastructure, thousands of VMs are running on our private clouds (IaaS), based on OpenStack and relying on KVM and VMWare as virtualization layer, Nuage Networks solution and NSX as SDN layer and CEPH as storage backend.
· We operate our private cloud platforms thanks to Red Hat Cloud Management Platform CloudForms and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.

Education

Post-secondary degree in Computer Science

Relevant work experience

Operations Support experience.

Specific competencies

Required:

· Expert in Linux administration
· Strong experience with large-scale, high availability server architectures
· Strong experience in virtualization technologies (KVM, VMWare, Xen, RHEV)
· Strong experience in network especially Software Defined Network (NSX, Nuage Networks)
· Experience in storage especially Software Defined Storage (CEPH, Scality)
· Experience in configuration management tools (Ansible / Puppet)
· Strong scripting skills (Ruby, Python)

Appreciated:

· Experience in infrastructure security
· Knowledge of source code repositories (Git/Bitbucket)
· Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker)
· Knowledge of continuous integration & continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) process
