Summary of the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to provide legal expertise and counsel to the Airlines, Hotel Distribution and Mobility business units, including contract drafting, contract negotiation, legal analysis, dispute management and resolution, corporate, compliance, privacy and general legal support.

You will also advise the business on a wide range of legal issues in the areas of Airline and Non-Air Distribution, bankruptcy, privacy, disputes, compliance and other legal matters.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be:

- Provide legal support to Airline Distribution in the WEMEA, NECSE and MENA regions. Legal support and expertise to include:

(i) Deal Structuring and Negotiating. Responsible for decision making, structuring of transactions, creating new legal models related to changing business models, and negotiating agreements for above business areas.

(ii) Contract drafting: Responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal documentation for above-listed areas of support.
(iii) Legal Advice. Provide solution-oriented and commercially-practical legal advice to a wide variety of business units, while assessing and properly mitigating legal risks and exposures.
(iv) LCC Content: Develop strategies for deals around LCC Content acquisition including Navitaire hosted customers.

- Provide legal support and be the primarily legal point of contact for Non-Air Distribution - including hotel, rail, cruise, mobility, ferry; provide support for Web Services, MetaConnect and Pyton.

- Global Legal Templates and Negotiation Guidelines. Analyze legal aspects related to the development and update of standard contracts and templates used in Airline Distribution and Non-Air Distribution; keep contract templates and guidelines up-to-date with legal developments, industry best practices, and Amadeus policies (coordinating as necessary with internal stakeholders).

-Legal Knowledge Team site. Champion knowledge sharing among Airline Distribution lawyers across the different sites; obtain and include relevant materials (including presentations, articles, legal and industry developments, legal opinions, upcoming trainings, etc.) in the legal knowledge site; engage with internal and external stakeholders with the aim to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge sharing among Amadeus' global legal team.

Provide legal support on various other matters, such as:

- Compliance. Enhance focus and advise management on compliance issues such as security, corporate social responsibility and general corporate matters.

-Regulatory. Analyze regulation and international laws applicable torelevant issues and adapt global company policies to local market needs. Regulatory review of new products and services offerings for Navitaire.

-Privacy - remain up to date on data privacy legislation and assist the business accordingly with respect to privacy-related issues

Requirements

· Education: Bachelors degree in law or related discipline

Years of experience: more than 5 years' experiencein a law firm or multinational corporation

· Masters in law, a plus
