The aim of the internship is to study state of the art frameworks and tools to validate accessibility of Amadeus web based front-end interfaces. Target is to determine best candidates to integrate our non-regression test suite for the latest generation of B2C and B2B travel application : Amadeus e-Retail and Altea Reservation Desktop Web

This study will pave the way to the setup of a test suite strategy for all department front-end products in collaboration with quality insurance specialists

Background:

The AEK division of Amadeus provides airlines with a variety of IT solutions for call centers, websites, self-service check-in on the web and at airport kiosks.

The flagship product for call centers is ARD Web, a reservation front office for airline agents. On the e-commerce side, e-Retail is a customized reservation system by which users can make travel bookings. This reservation system is the core of the Amadeus e-Retail solution, known as the Amadeus e-Retail Engine which is also managed within AEK division.

This engine has changed significantly in the latest releases and provides even more power and cutting-edge technology than before: rebooking, upgrade, refund, award, loyalty program, payment with miles, ancillary services such as seats, bags or meals, continuous enrichment of the methods of payment, cross-sell with non-air products such as hotels or cars, etc. In the highly competitive world of online business, Amadeus e-Commerce puts its extensive online experience and know-how at the service of its customers.

Major responsibilities:

The trainee will perform an analysis of available tools and frameworks from the market to extend our non-regression test strategy focusing on accessibility validation.

Then an exhaustive test campaign will be delivered in conjunction with QA specialists for both e-Retail and ARD web products in order to fully cover the product validation in terms of accessibility.

The trainee will collaborate with development, user experience design and quality teams.

Technologies:

The trainee will be required to produce a study document, comprehensively describing the project using appropriate tooling and standards.
The trainee will be proficient in web technologies (HTML/CSS/Javascript), Java and potentially Angular framework within a J2EE server-side environment. Fluent technical English, both written and spoken, is required.

A deep knowledge of assistive technologies (Jaws, Voiceover, Magnification tools, speech recognition,…) is a plus.

The trainee will have to demonstrate his ability to communicate within a team as well as his motivation to achieve a task within a defined timeframe.
