Duration: 3-6 months

I. Description

At amadeus we are always experimenting with the latest technologies to make traveling easy and fun. Interacting with airlines, train companies or hotels is increasingly done using Social Media. The goal of this internship is to develop a distributed data ingestion system able to process in real time data from different social media sources. You will be proposing and applying different natural language processing and machine learning techniques, using the latest streaming frameworks and participating in the development of a web application.

II. Main Responsibilities

· Develop and use existing natural language processing libraries to process social media data (classification, tagging, sentiment analysis…)
· Use a stream processing framework to retrieve social media data, process it in real time and store it.
· Working on a web application to visualize the collected data

III. Requirements

· Knowledge of any main programming language (Python or Java are a plus)
· Strong interest in machine learning and natural language processing
· Knowledge of any main big data framework such as Hadoop or Sparks is a plus
· Team player and interest in the travel industry
