The team is involved in one of the most recent expansions of Amadeus Airline IT products suite: Amadeus Anytime Merchandizing, which allows airlines to manage, promote and personalize their offers, enabling airlines to fine tune almost every parameters of its offer (which product, to whom, when, at which price, etc.)

More specifically, the team is responsible for developing all advanced analytics features of Amadeus Anytime Merchandizing, ranging from dashboards to machine learning modules, aiming at helping airlines to identify which offer is performing best.

The IT of an airline is a rich and complex ecosystem covering a wide variety of processes, which are key for the business success of the airline. Amadeus is a key provider of many airlines’ ecosystem through its Airline TI application portfolio.

Many of these applications are generating extensive set of data, which are instrumental to understand how these applications are used and the added value they bring from a business standpoint.

The internship will consist in trying to close the gap between data collection and business value estimation, focusing on Amadeus Anytime Merchandizing application, which aims at delivering the right offer to the right time at the right price to the right customer.

The internship will cover the following main aspects:

· Gain knowledge about our industrial product Amadeus Anytime Merchandizing (AAM)
· List and explore data sources helping to understand the business value delivered with AAM
· Help in proposing relevant KPIs and scientific approach for value proposition assessment
· Help in proposing and implementing data cleansing, processing and crunching to enable KPI estimation
· Help in proposing and implementing visualization for approach proposed

Technical required skills:

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience; experience in the data mining/machine learning/data visualisation field

• Good Knowledge of Hadoop technology stack, Unix/Linux, Python/Scala
