Airlines' future success will be defined by their ability to engage with travelers and provide targeted and attractive products and services by implementing effective merchandising strategies.
The merchandising division’s goal is to enable airlines to plan, execute, and monitor merchandising strategies to maximize their efficiency: by providing personalized traveler offers at each stage of the journey cycle – from the inspiration phase, to the shopping, till after the trip – and capturing new revenues.
With personalization in mind, Customer Experience Management (CEM) has been created to aggregate customer data and compute valuable insights, providing airlines with advanced personalization logic for all business operations.
The keyword “personalization” is not just a priority for the airline industry but can be the differentiator between a successful business and a failure... Just look at its use by Amazon or Netflix to get an idea of why they are successful.

The responsibility of our team is to enable this information exchange and the goal of the internship is to help the team to“create a bridge” between Amadeus CEM and the Amazon Echo. We want to useAlexa to inspire the customer on possible destinations by leveraging the information we have about him/her.
