Purpose of the role

This is an internship packed with diverse activities, aimed at developing your business management knowledge and practical skills. As a member of a fast moving and dynamic team you will have the opportunity to work with a range of internal stakeholders, including Legal, Projects, Sales, Product and Solution Design teams. The role will also give you the opportunity to meet regularly with Supplier and other external stakeholders which will help develop multi-level communication skills. A significant part of the role is data mining and analysis. A flair for SharePoint would be a big advantage although can be learned. This is a six months post, which can be extended to 12 or 18 months depending on performance in the role.

Main Responsibilities

Project Coordination - In the course of delivering a project it is necessary to source equipment and services. Helping to coordinate tis requirement will be regular.

Supplier Management - Amadeus has a number of suppliers who provide equipment and services to Amadeus. You will be required to support Contract Managers and Vendor Managers in achieving specific targets.

SharePoint Maintenance - The department maintain a SharePoint site. It will be the Intern's responsibility to manage and update this site.

Data Analysis - In the interest of constant improvement and maintaining best practices, regular data investigations are made, with analysis and output are reported to the business.

Contract Co-ordination - Amadeus have a number of different supplier relationships. With additional training and continuous support the successful candidate will receive exposure to interesting and diverse business contracts as they are created in conjunction with the Amadeus Legal team.

Education

The successful Candidate will be studying or just successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Management, Business Law, or similar discipline and is highly motivated to gain valuable experience working in a global IT organization.

Relevant Work Experience

A proven track record of commitment to regular working routines is essential. This does not need to be in a corporate role. The successful candidate will be ambitious, motivated to learn and grow and demonstrate a hunger to do well in whatever task he/she is given.

Skills

Computing - Competent in all Microsoft Office programs. The ability to design changes and updates to SharePoint is an important attribute.

Languages - Excellent written and spoken English is vital

Specific Knowledge - General interest is the travel industry is desired but not essential.

Other - A positive outlook and grounded expectations
