BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

Our mission is to deliver the digital Identity platform for our customers (professionals and travelers) to ensure the utmost security off all Amadeus Products - new generation platform built on the latest standards and technologies, cloud-ready and compliant with PCI-DSS and GDPR standards. The goal is to deliver a modern and intelligent platform offering authentication, access control, administration and fraud detection services. Its main components : LOGON and Security Server, End User Security Server, Central Login Panel require a high level of exigencies in term of stability and performance as they are used by almost all Amadeus products and especially mission critical ones. This platform has to be flexible to cover a wide range of demands and requirements coming from a diversity of customers. In addition, the solutions have to follow and integrate some of the latest technologies to avoid vulnerabilities and to ensure a smooth evolution.

PURPOSE

The architect acts as a software development engineer with additional responsibilities. He/she defines, drives and maintains software architecture with respect to customer requirements and company’s objectives for a given system or subsystem.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

On top of software development engineer activities (user requirements definition, technical solution design and coding, testing, software solutions debugging...) the architect :

- Is responsible for software architecture throughout the lifecycle development taking into consideration system constraints and enterprise architecture strategic directions

- Directs and coordinates software architecture studies for their functional area

- Identifies modelling, simulation and prototyping opportunities

- Provides knowledge on state-of-the art software architecture, taking future developments into account

- Articulates the design to the development teams

- Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools

- Contributes to the architect community, educates, studies options, and recommends evolutions

As an architect in DIP you will own the main components of Digital Identity Platform from an architecture standpoint: CLP, LSS, ESS, SAS, Fraud detection as well as security middleware libraries.

You will be accountable for collecting maturity KPIs on the components and issuing recommendations to comply with Amadeus technical policies as well as security standards.

You will interface with other Amadeus R&D entities to share the technical vision of the evolution of our platform and components, as well as making sure we’re using at most the solutions provided by others.

You will be systematically involved on key projects related to the evolution of our platform such as GAC micro service, ACS migration, GDA (evolution toward multi-datacenter), authentication federation protocols, and you will overlook multiple challenges related to scalability, data replication, data consistency, and resiliency for some of the most critical components of Amadeus infrastructure.

Your role will be to conduct technical feasibilities studies, proof of concepts, and present architecture design up to executive level.

You will then lead and participate to the implementation of the key technical capabilities that will enable the main evolutions of the platform.

EDUCATION

Engineering BS Degree. MS Degree preferred

REVELANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8 years of development experience, with proven technical lead experience and experience in designing new applications from a technical standpoint. An experience in IT security is a plus.

From a technical standpoint you are an expert in C++ development on OBE, you master SI/OTF/MWPack ecosystem as well as the different type of database solutions that are used in Amadeus (especially Oracle, Couchbase). You will be involved on projects on ACS so should be already familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift and ACS, if not expert yet.

Regarding soft skills you are self-motivated and able to work in full autonomy. You are eager to continuously improve your technical knowledge.

You can gather information and proactively propose new ways to solve complex problems while making the most of what is done in others teams in Amadeus.

You can present and communicate at different levels in a clear and concise manner.
