As part of the ERTMS National Implementation program, Alstom is in charge of developing the Norway ERTMS solution onboard the trains and implementing it on 3 Test Trains (Generic Application phase) and then to fit the fleet of 14 vehicle owners between 2020 and 2026 (Rollout / Specific Application phase).
For this exciting project, we are looking for a Field Operations / Logistic Engineer who will work under the rollout sub-project organization in charge of field operations.
The field operations scope cover all activities and environment related to the preparation and execution of installation, test and commissioning of the ERTMS onboard and delivery of the trains.
OBJECTIVE OF THE MISSION :
Your role will be to support the warehouse & depot/workshop logistics implementation required for the train fitting activities in the depot/workshop for the first 3 trains (the Generic Application phase) and then for the industrial phase of the Rollout.
The position will be based in Oslo area with some possible punctual travels to Trondheim.
You will report to the Installation Manager on site, and will work in coordination with the Field Operation team and Supply chain/Industrial team of the Leading Unit (Charleroi, Belgium).
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES :
The role will consist in
- Define the requirements for warehouse, kitting and any other needs of site activities (workshop for harnesses) to be subcontracted/rented out.
- Follow-up the RFQ process for subcontracting activities with sourcing
- Follow-up implementation of warehouse / kitting with selected subcontractor, and the material delivery from the Leading Unit (Charleroi)
- Follow-up the material delivery from Charleroi to the warehouse
- Follow-up the delivery of local procurement of the materials/accessories/tools required for installation
- Define and implement the line feeding layout and kitting associated for the fitting industrial strategy.
- Ensure readiness of logistic activities before start of installation
- Plan and manage logistic for the rollout phase between Warehouse and Depot/Workshops in coordination with the Installation Manager and the Site Manager.
The role may evolve as per the project context, organization and needs.
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE :
- Engineer Degree
- Knowledge of Industrial operations basics
- Knowledge of supply chain
- Fluent in English and excellent communication skills
- Basics of Norvegian would be an asset
