Working Student (m/f) in A&S Nat Cat Risk Management at Allianz SE Reinsurance

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

Allianz Re is a division of Allianz SE within the H9 resort and is based in multiple locations around the globe. Allianz Re mainly offers reinsurance, runoff and advisory for Allianz internal and external customers.

The Cat Risk Management team is located within the Advisory & Services area, Allianz Re (Munich).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a working student to support our Nat Cat teams Portfolio Analytics and Cat Research & Development. You will be involved in projects in the Natural Catastrophe Risk Management unit of Allianz SE Reinsurance.

Support Cat capital and limit reporting for AZ Re and AZ Group, Cat portfolio analytics topics as well as Cat OE communication.

Help to coordinate a seamless process between all stakeholders: OEs, Cat Portfolio Analytics, Cat Transactions and Group Risks Center of Competence P&C.

Data analytics, report preparation and communication of results.

Support of development tools for risk capital calculation, data management, analytics and models. Help in process improvement efforts.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

The prerequisite for this position is that you are an undergraduate majoring in a technical discipline, natural sciences or mathematics. You are a person who carefully and diligently completes your duties and quickly grasps complex topics, and have a sound familiarity working with MS Office applications as well as strong analytical and data analysis skills (e.g. SQL/SAS). GIS knowledge (QGIS, ArcGIS) and programming skills (Python or other high level programming language) are a big asset. Ideally, you already have experience in the field of Natural Catastrophes, as well as in SAS and VBA programming in both Access and Excel. Experience on automation of data processing would be a plus.

Your interpersonal skills and cultural awareness should be strong as well. Fluency in English is mandatory; the ability to speak German would be beneficial.
