We are looking for an Underwriter Offshore Wind (m/f/d), based in Munich.

 

Your Team

Our seasoned team takes ownership of top key accounts and clients, skillfully navigating through complex negotiations to ensure optimal participation, pricing, and terms and conditions. You will work in a team of highly experienced and motivated Underwriters with a great team spirit. The team is always open to support and learn from each other. 

 

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Underwriting Team Leader, you will underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Natural Resources Line of Business (LoB) targets locally and regionally, while negotiating participation, pricing, and terms and conditions. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients and take ownership of individual accounts and clients

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

·  Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet targets, negotiate terms with brokers, and manage capacity.
·  Focus on underwriting of construction projects and operational programs of Offshore wind and Offshore transmission risks.
·  Evaluate and interpret Natural Catastrophe Accumulation and scenarios for relevant Lines of Business (LoBs).
·  Underwrite in line with governance frameworks, ensuring contract certainty and utilizing global pricing tools.
·  Ensure accurate policy documentation and maintain comprehensive files for each risk and transaction.
·  Support policy administration and credit control processes, including strategy execution and staff training.
·  Drive new business acquisition and retention, liaise with departments on market management initiatives, and handle complex referrals.
·  Represent Allianz Commercial externally, fostering strong relationships with brokers, clients, and stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role

·  Proven track record in underwriting profitable business in Line of Business (LoB).
·  Expert understanding of LoB products, portfolio, and market dynamics.
·  Established relationships with brokers within the market and peer group level.
·  Good knowledge of regional/local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape.
·  Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory framework.
·  Experience in complex, global matrix organizations.
·  Ability to assess risks, exposures, and natural hazards relevant to LoB.
