About the role

Club Marine have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Underwriter where you will be responsible for providing a high level of underwriting service to our key partner stakeholders and working collaboratively with our broader underwriting and distribution teams to ensure our customers are put at the heart of our decision-making.

This role will suit a candidate who has experience with Insurance Underwriting and paired with boating knowledge, has excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, and is looking to progress their career.

Role Responsibilities

• Work closely with a team of Underwriters and Account Managers to source and underwrite profitable new business opportunities.
• Nurture and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders within Branch and other Club Marine divisions.
• Execute effective new business strategies whilst leveraging renewals to further develop relationships with our key business partners.
• Respond attentively to customer and partner needs by developing considered, practical solutions based on available information.
• Support balanced portfolio growth by aligning business decisions with organisational goals, focusing on sustainable profitability and long-term value.
• Thoughtfully manage day-to-day workflows to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, reliable products and services.

About you

• Strong background in insurance underwriting, paired with practical boating knowledge and a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective.
• Customer-focused and service-oriented, bringing enthusiasm, empathy, and a commitment to delivering positive, high-quality experiences.
• A strong thinker with an analytical problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills both written and verbal which allows exceptional negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• Organised and dependable planner who calmly balances priorities, resources, and competing demands with care and consistency.
