Job description

The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled Production Support Engineer with at least 3 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on ETL and Data Warehouse. The candidate should have good understanding of DevOps practices and ITIL concepts.

 

You will

·  Monitor the daily data pipeline runs, ensure timely data loads by proactively identifying and troubleshooting issues.
·  Perform RCA to identify the underlying causes of issues in the data warehouse and ETL pipelines.
·  Document findings and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
·  Collaborate with various teams, including data engineers, DevOps Engineers, architects, and business analysts, to resolve issues and implement improvements.
·  Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on issue resolution and system performance.
·  Maintain detailed documentation of data warehouse configurations, ETL processes, operational procedures, and issue resolutions.
·  Participate in an on-call rotation and operating effectively in a global 24*7 environment.
·  Ensure data integrity and accuracy and take actions to resolve data discrepancies.
·  Generate regular reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.

Preferred skills

 

 

Proficient in SQL
Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Informatica)
Familiarity with AWS Cloud services (e.g., EC2, RDS, EKS)
Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence etc

 

Desired skills

 

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting )

Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins , Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with tools like Dynatrace, Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana etc

 

General

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willing to work in shifts and participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Certification in AWS, Oracle, or relevant DevOps tools is a plus

 

·  Strong experience with Oracle databases and AWS cloud services.
·  Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
·  Should be familiar with monitoring tools Dynatreace, CloudWatch, etc.
·  Familiarity with other AWS services such as Account creation, VPC, Cloud Front, IAM, ALB, EC2, RDS, Route 53, Auto scaling, Lambda, etc.
·  Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue).
·  Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
·  Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·  Experience in performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
·  Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in a support engineer role, preferably in data warehousing and ETL environments.
·  Certification in AWS, Oracle, or relevant DevOps tools is a plus.
