Job Purpose Role
This diverse role exposes you to the different facets in Allianz Direct’s Accounting and Tax function. You will contribute to managing the closing process and tax reporting for Allianz Direct. Within this responsibility you will be dealing with general accounting topics, analysis of numbers, coordination of our foreign branches and management of the tax reporting process with our external and Allianz internal tax counterparts. You will contribute by your doings to Allianz Direct’s monthly and quarterly financial closing in line with German Accounting principles, IFRS 17 as well as Solvency II.

Key responsibilities:
· Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB, IFRS and Solvency II for Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG
· Responsible for managing and coordinating the closing process with our foreign branches and local accountants; special focus here on the tax reporting and analysis of corporate income taxes and deferred taxes in IFRS and Solvency II
· Manage and coordinate other tax topics regarding to VAT, IPT and transfer pricing
· Contribute towards an efficient reporting process
· Data quality assurance and analysis, and provide clarifications to management
· Participate in projects and initiatives on demand
· Managing the tax reporting process with our local service providers and Group Tax, aligning deliverable, timelines, content and analysis
· Very close collaboration within the whole accounting function of AZ Direct in Munich and with the branches
Qualifications/Key skills:
· Ability of developing and applying operational excellence incl. process structure, process efficiency and process documentation
· IT literate including Excel at advanced level
· Excellent analytical skills, highly numerate and comfortable with quantitative analysis, with a good attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong team player and ability to work with others effectively
· Strong organizational skills, ability to plan ahead and multi-task
· Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
Education & Experience:
· University degree in Business administration (with the focus on accounting & taxes) or comparable education (Certified Accountant) and / or equivalent practical experience
· Experience in tax reporting under HGB, IFRS and Solvency II
· Experience in project management and stakeholder management
