MOTOR INSURANCE - JUNIOR DATA ENGINEER

Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Junior Data Engineer to join the Street Pricing Motor Unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines in a Big Data environment, ensuring the continuity of the data infrastructure.
• Develop and update reports to analyze performance metrics of the Motor LoB
• Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of data used across the unit

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Physics or similar
• Experience (e.g. 1-2 years) in Data Analytics/Reporting or Data Engineer/Scientist roles
• Proven experience with SQL, Python and its libraries for Big Data processing, including PySpark, Pandas and NumPy
• Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or similar)
• Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics would be a plus
• Knowledge of orchestration tools (Apache Airflow or similar) would be a plus
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Power Point
• Proactive and innovative attitude in constantly improving tools and approaches to be market leading
• Great curiosity in order to create an overall vision
• Good knowledge of English and Italian language (written and spoken)
