What you do
The role of the Pulse Transformation - Medical Coder involves clinical coding of pricelists, compliance of such pricelists with the regulated standards in the market. Aligns to company standards for automation by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of coded pricelists. The role also involves leveraging data analysis and data processing techniques to enhance coding accuracy and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
- Coding and Auditing: The Pulse Transformation – Medical Coder ensures pricelists/drug lists/service lists are clinically coded in compliance with the regulated and standardized clinical coding guidelines of the market and Nextcare. Utilizes data processing methods to audit and maintain coding standards
- Contributes/Prepares progress reports/analytic reports/ and presentations for internal audiences and external clients using data analysis skills to interpret coding trends and improve outputs
- Assists with developing, and maintaining medical coding and audit processes, incorporating automation to streamline procedures and enhance quality
- Support other regular departmental tasks.
What you bring
To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/experience
- Experience in and In-depth knowledge of Medical Coding – Guidelines and Practices for varying code sets related to (CPT, AACHI, HCPCS, ICD9 and ICD10, Dental and Pharmacy)
- Good understanding of health insurance operations
- Proficiency in data analysis to interpret industry trends and improve coding practices (good knowledge of regulations and practices)
- Familiarity with automation techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency in coding processes
- Competence in data processing to efficiently handle large sets of coded data
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to deal professionally with team members and internal stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of discretion in handling confidential information
