JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will take on the following tasks:
Handle claims on entertainment policies
Provide claims handling support for property and energy claims
Input and maintain accurate claims records (e.g. reserves, payments) for designated accounts
Process standard indemnity and expense payments
Prepare case for settlement of standard claims through payment or denial
Produce management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements)
Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate
Report loss information internally and externally
Work with other functional areas in Claims handling process, e.g. Underwriting and Operations
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Preferably a degree in Law, or other appropriate discipline
At least 2 years' professional experience in dealing with either general property or liability claims
Ideally studying towards professional insurance qualifications (eg. CII)
Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework
Experience in working in a global matrix organisation
Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques (e.g. mediation)
Knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application
