Candidate Profile
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end deal execution including structuring, negotiation support, due diligence, valuation, and drafting and preparing investment proposals and other decision templates for senior management and Allianz Group board members
- Drive platform projects and corporate development initiatives that generate additional shareholder value by leveraging assets and abilities of Allianz Group as well as from our portfolio companies
- Support existing portfolio companies with strategic and operational initiatives, creating additional value through enabling commercial partnerships with Allianz Group
- Proactively identify promising investment opportunities across key focus areas, including: InsurTech, FinTech, Wealth management, and adjacent verticals
- Build and maintain a strong network across VCs, PEs, founders, and industry experts
Key qualifications and skills
- Excellent degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, computer science, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 2-3 years of experience working in strategy consulting, private equity, venture capital, investment banking or business development role for a fast growing scale-up
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills
- Good understanding of financial statements and investments
- Entrepreneurial mindset to identify business potential and self-starter mentality
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Strong relationship-building, and networking skills and high cultural awareness
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English; German proficiency is a plus
- Experience in the insurance or wealth management sector is a plus
- International experience is a plus
