JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for accounts of low to medium complexity. Review and interpret source Underwriting materials to ensure all information is complete - including Broker presentation, slips, Underwriting files and accounts / claims – and if required, escalation to UW in case of missing information.
Coordinate with Underwriting to address questions and issues regarding cover and wording. Authorisation in line with assigned limits.
Use all relevant information to accurately and efficiently populate IT system(s) with new and renewed business. Prepare regular reports.
Invoice customers and produce all relevant documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements to the Broker (or client)/ Co-Insurers in a timely and accurate manner.
Chase and reconcile premiums utilising the information from the Underwriting file and system entries, in close collaboration with Credit Control. Liaise with Underwriters, Brokers, Co and Reinsurer, to ensure timely premium payment.
Manage own daily, weekly and monthly workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met.
Carry out risk checks according to compliance procedure.
Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and follow-up of all accounts in the respective responsibility and escalation, if required.
Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including Underwriting, Accounts / Credit Control, Reinsurance Accounts and Brokers, attending relevant meetings, as required.
Support User Acceptance Testing and other tasks as required.
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Completion of a recognized insurance qualification preferred
2 – 3 years’ experience of policy administration in the insurance sector
1 – 2 years’ administrative experience in a Corporate environment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with Insurance front-office systems appreciated
Sound understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and policy administration life cycle
Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability and flexibility
Proven entrepreneurship and an ability to think forward
Accuracy and attention to detail
Team spirit
