Available Opportunities
We currently have 6 Summer Intern Placement opportunities available within
Protective Coatings RD&I to start in July 2016. The placements are spread over 3 areas: General Coatings development, Fire & Insulation development and Product range support.
These positions will be based at the Protective Coatings Development laboratory in Felling, Gateshead. The roles will involve assisting with laboratory activities to aid the development projects and support activities in the labs.
The positions are predominantly laboratory based and candidates must be highly enthusiastic about practical laboratory work and research. A portion of time will also be spent writing up results and managing data in order to determine next steps. You will work under the guidance of a lab chemist, and will be trained in all aspects of working safely in the laboratory using established test methods.
Requirements
To be considered for this summer internship, your current degree subject area should be Chemistry or a related discipline. Previous experience in working in a laboratory environment is recommended also.
