· Support specification development as directed and guided by ePT Controls Engineering
· Participate in Identification of system requirements and operating modes
· Participate in Identification and rationalization of all op modes.
· Participate in Identification and rationalization of all feasible and useful transition between all operating modes.
· Support specification development as directed and guided by ePT Controls Engineering

· Participate in developing detailed interaction strategy between HCP and relevant charging modules for all steady state operating modes as well as transitions between operating modes.
· Developing detailed documentation of all operating modes and all transitions between operating modes, resulting from above-mentioned activities.
· Developing charging interfaces between HCP and other relevant modules, resulting from above-mentioned activities.
· Developing status/state/mode interface between HCP and other relevant charging modules, resulting from above-mentioned activities.
· Support specification of dbc files and communication gateways
· Submit change requests for HCP SW to accomplish design intent
· Definition of new software functionality needed to accomplish interface requirements, resulting from above-mentioned activities. .
· Review and correction of FCA documents (CFTS and VF)
· Support system design specification and requirements.
· Define failure modes and remedial action for HCP charging control modules.
· Develop and document remedial action, resulting from this activity.

Requirements
· BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required. Advanced degrees such as MS or PhD preferred.
· 3+ years in powertrain design/release/controls engineering
· 2+ years of proven experience in electrified propulsion systems controls design and development
· Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains.
· Strong background understanding of torque management in hybrid architectures.
· Ability to recognize priorities and adjust work accordingly
· Basic understanding of CAN and calibration tools (ie. CANalyzer, INCA, etc.)
· Familiarity with automotive deliverables such as system FMEA, DVP&R, releasing
· Some travel for appropriate development trips may be required
· Supplier support should be in place within 2 weeks of PO approval
· Deep knowledge of system level interaction between TCM and HCP in a hybrid environment preferably a P1xP2 hybrid configuration.
Driving and Travel Requirements:
Will be required to drive a company car. A valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
Will be required to travel domestically up to 20%
