With the aim of strengthening our team we are looking for a Firmware Validation Engineer.
Main tasks:
· Programming and maintenance of hardware in the loop systems
· Definitions of firmware integration tests based on design requirements
· Design, execution, and documentation of firmware tests
· Write and execute manual and automated tests. Carefully analyze and document test results.
· Setup of test environments
· Conduct firmware validation testing of electronic devices
· Definition of validation test plans and procedures for new products and firmware changes
· Assist with automating firmware validation
· Participates in converter validation to ensure compliance with the design requirements in cooperation with the whole converter design team.
· Adheres to the quality process through the execution of test procedures.
· Cooperates with other engineering teams to support product testing and certifications.
· This position may require occasionally travel to location of the testing facilities and prototypes sites
Profile
Technical qualifications needed:
· Deep knowledge of Software validation process, automation techniques, testing methodologies, test benches and laboratory facilities.
· At least 3 years of experience in software / firmware validation.
Experience with Hardware in The Loop systems
Familiar with writing test / validation code.
· Experience programming with Phyton and Scripting,
· Deep knowledge of Automatic Test Environments,
· Electronic Instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, Signal Generators).
· Digital hardware design basics (understanding of electrical diagrams).
· Experience in analysis, diagnosis and problem solving on complex systems and its commissioning
SW engineering knowledge: SW life cycle; SW related documentation (requirements, design, verification, interfaces); control versions programs understanding.
· Fluent in Spanish and English
