In order to support the Spacecraft Production Germany, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Working Student (d/m/f) within AIT (Assembly Integration and Test) for Optical Instruments

You are a full time student, looking for a working student position and want to get to know the work of an AIT Engineer (d/f/m)?  Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Spacecraft Production Germany as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week!

Definition working student

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your tasks and responsibilities

· 
Support to software tools development and deployment: payload science data quick look used to monitor the payload data

· 
Support to software tools development and deployment: accurate platform interface simulator current acquisition used to power the payload

· 
Support to software tools development and deployment: remote control of optical ground support equipment used during calibration campaigns

· 
Writing of tools specifications

· 
Writing and execution of test procedures, including automated test procedures on ground segment

· 
Document issues, progress, architecture etc. in Airbus tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)

· 
Support during test campaigns

· 
Work with space standards

 Desired skills and qualifications

· 
Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within computer science or similar field of study

· 
You have strong programming and software skills (Python, TCL/TK and Visual Basics would be a plus)

· 
You have a good awareness about networks

· 
Your english is fluent and you speak german

· 
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently
