Description of the job

A vacancy for a Technical End to End SAP ERP Solution Architect has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Stevenage. The successful applicant will join Information Management (IM) within Airbus DS.

Information Management delivers the IT/IS expertise, technology and systems with which the Airbus Defence and Space products are designed and manufactured – We make it fly!

You will join the domain “Production BRM (Business Relation Management) & Space” within the IM organization and be part of the “Space Systems” team, which is highly international. Your colleagues are from UK, France, Germany and Spain. You will find yourself as part of a strong network within the team, where you can rely on the support of your colleagues.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- ERP Architecture, Design & Development:
- Define and develop SAP (<-> 3DX) architecture, including interfaces in line with business needs
- Create and maintain design documents
- Set up IM test plan, configuration follow-up, test organization / planning
- Support end user testing.
- Manage deployment in line with business needs, security requirements and current information technology standards.
- Manage run mode of ERP interfaces as Service Owner:
- Manage the support process for the ERP related technologies in the (3DX) system stack in accordance to the Service Level Agreement and ensure a seamless end to end data flow from ERP side
- Take care that the ERP portion of the system stack, including the interfaces are suiting the day to day needs of the satellite design and production process
- Follow-up of incidents, fix interface related issues, manage technical issues
- Participate in Change Boards, manage the related development activities from specification to implementation going through unitary and user testing.
- Compile and publish ad hoc reports on incidents and on performance monitoring

Required skills

- SAP Production and Logistics functions knowledge (SAP PP/MM – WM/PM modules)
- SAP Idoc / Rfc knowledge
- ABAP development skills (other languages welcome)
- Knowledge of the following tools would be useful: Dassault 3DExperience - DELMIA - APRISO & ORTEMS / Windchill / TibCO
- Analytical skills, team-player, customer oriented
- Knowledge of Manufacturing/Logistics and Supply Chain business
- Engineering / PDM understanding would be a plus
